My love of creating and upcycling objects began many years ago when I worked at an auction house and developed a love of furniture and antiques and an appreciation of how beautiful things can enrich our lives.
I went on to open a shop in Brimstage Hall Courtyard in Wirral, becoming an official stockist of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, a unique decorative paint used to upcycle and transform furniture. I devoured everything Annie Sloan, read all her books and was fortunate enough to be trained and guided by her in her unique methods.
I decided to relocate my business to a beautiful, airy loft space at the Old Shippon at Poulton Hall in the heart of Wirral, a more flexible workspace in which to establish Creative Home Workshops.
Our workshops aim to be fun and inspirational. They are a wonderful way for people to explore their creativity, make new friends, learn new skills and relax away from everyday life. It is incredibly rewarding to pass on my passion and skills to other people and see them develop their creative side and grow in confidence.
I share my space by working collaboratively with like-minded creatives including floral designers Donna Griffiths and Julie Owens and decoupage expert Julia Robinson. Together we offer a wide and varied range of creative workshops, ensuring we have lots to offer.
As well as running workshops, stocking Annie Sloan paints and accessories and providing lots of practical advice on all things Annie Sloan, I also take commissions to transform furniture, either in my loft space or within clients’ homes.
